Healthy Kids - Head, Heart and Hands

Whole Foods Program

As a courtesy to our planet and all of our children, we feed our students food that is  non GMO, grown organically and/or naturally.  We are also sensitive to food allergies and offer children food that is gluten, peanut, and dairy free.

We are what we eat!

One cannot think well, love well sleep well, if one has not dined well.

                                                                                                                       Virginia Woolf

Rest, Relaxation and Physical Activity

Rhythm and repetition are vital elements in the healthy development of young children. They manifest in every living thing. The wing beat of a bird, the crawling caterpillar, day and night, the cycle of the seasons, the ebb and flow of the tides and our very own human heartbeat. Children build confidence when we lead them to live in rhythm.  Through yoga, imagery, napping, resting, moving, playing, dancing and brain gym activites, children are led to find their own rhythm.

Emotional Intelligence

When educating the minds of our youth, we must not forget to educate their hearts. Dalai Lama

There are a few things more valuable than the emotional well-being of our children and we are very sensitive to this. Emotional health comes from feeling safe; It comes from feeling valued. It comes from knowing that one is cared about by those that surround us. Offering children an environment, a curriculum and a teaching staff that create this sense of emotional intelligence in each child is the underlying essence of our program.
